Directors of Awhina Day Nursery, Havelock North, New Zealand

In this two week course we will look at the practical day to day life of the day nursery/child care environment. The role of the child care setting carries so much more than the already important task of caring for the young child. In this setting there exists the possibility to surround the child with the therapeutic qualities of the archetypal home, expressed through the development and maintaining of the four- sheaths that create the environmental fold. In this we create a living organism, imbued with spiritual forces, bringing to the child a sense of coming home. The day nursery/child care environment has the potential to become a wellspring of warming nurture in today’s society and provides an opportunity for the ‘homemaker’ to bring the spirit into practical daily life. .
